Il permet tout simplement d\u2019optimiser le fonctionnement des moteurs turbocompress\u00e9s en agissant sur la temp\u00e9rature de l\u2019air avant qu\u2019il n\u2019entre dans le bloc moteur.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oreca-store.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/intercooler.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oreca-store.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/intercooler-300x220.jpg\" alt=\"intercooler\" class=\"wp-image-2134\" width=\"300\" height=\"220\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Comment fonctionne un intercooler ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Plac\u00e9 au sein du circuit turbo, l&rsquo;intercooler ou \u00e9changeur air\/air tient un r\u00f4le important en permettant \u00e0 la voiture de gagner en puissance. Pour comprendre son action, il faut donc d&rsquo;abord s&rsquo;int\u00e9resser au fonctionnement du turbocompresseur dans une voiture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L&rsquo;action du turbo avant l&rsquo;\u00e9changeur d&rsquo;air<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>En sortie de moteur, la force d&rsquo;\u00e9chappement des gaz parvient \u00e0 faire tourner la turbine du turbo et par extension la roue de compression qui est li\u00e9e la turbine par un axe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au niveau de la roue de compression, arrive de l&rsquo;air ext\u00e9rieur pr\u00e9alablement pass\u00e9 par le filtre \u00e0 air. C&rsquo;est cet air que la roue de compression va, comme son nom l&rsquo;indique, compresser dans l&rsquo;admission du moteur pour envoyer <em>in fine<\/em> un volume plus important d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne dans le moteur. Cela permet donc \u00e0 la voiture d&rsquo;obtenir un gain de puissance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oreca-store.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/schema-fonctionnement-intercooler.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oreca-store.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/schema-fonctionnement-intercooler.jpg\" alt=\"schema-fonctionnement-intercooler\" class=\"wp-image-2133\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant, compresser l&rsquo;air dans l&rsquo;admission n&rsquo;est pas le seul moyen d&rsquo;augmenter la puissance de la voiture. C&rsquo;est l\u00e0 que l&rsquo;intercooler intervient. Le but recherch\u00e9 est toujours le m\u00eame : envoyer un maximum d&rsquo;air dans le moteur ; mais le moyen change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quel est le r\u00f4le de l&rsquo;\u00e9changeur d&rsquo;air au sein du circuit turbo ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme indiqu\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment, le turbo compresse l\u2019air arrivant du filtre \u00e0 air, ce qui augmente la puissance et le couple du moteur. Mais ce gain de puissance n&rsquo;est pas optimal. En effet, l&rsquo;action du turbo augmente rapidement la temp\u00e9rature de l\u2019air dans l&rsquo;admission (lorsqu&rsquo;un gaz est compress\u00e9, il gagne en temp\u00e9rature). Or, plus l\u2019air est chaud, moins il est dense. Il se dilate en quelque sorte et son volume devient plus important. On peut donc admettre une quantit\u00e9 moins importante d&rsquo;air dans le moteur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En installant un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oreca-store.com\/vehicule\/moteur\/circuit-turbo\/echangeurs.html\"><strong>intercooler<\/strong><\/a>, on supprime cet effet n\u00e9gatif du turbo. L&rsquo;\u00e9changeur d&rsquo;air va permettre de <strong>refroidir l&rsquo;air compress\u00e9<\/strong> et donc de densifier l\u2019air entrant dans le moteur (plus l&rsquo;air est froid, moins son volume est important). On peut donc cette fois-ci en envoyer une quantit\u00e9 plus importante dans le moteur, ce qui se concr\u00e9tise par une meilleure combustion et une optimisation du rendement du moteur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un intercooler permet-il de gagner en puissance ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>C&rsquo;est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment le but de l&rsquo;intercooler.
